When Rebel Galaxy was announced back in October, it was announced for Steam and the PlayStation 4. Developer Double Damage Games has upped the ante and announced that their “swashbuckling space adventure” will also launch on the Xbox One and Mac systems.
Travis Baldree, Co-Founder of Double Damage Games, explained why the Xbox One and Mac weren’t included in the initial announcement.
“We’ve wanted to launch Rebel Galaxy on multiple platforms from the beginning, and today it’s a pleasure to announce to Xbox and Mac communities that Rebel Galaxy will be coming to the Xbox One and OSX as well. We wanted to wait to announce it until we had the game up and running on both platforms. That milestone has now been achieved!”
In Rebel Galaxy, you take command of a spacecraft and navigate through space as you trade your goods and battle pirates. You can buy new spaceships and upgrade your existing one with better weapons and defenses. The game definitely looks interesting, and by the looks of it will be a mix of interaction at the player level as well as some epic looking space battles while controlling your ship from a third person view.
So while you’re waiting to grab your ship and start swashbuckling your way across the galaxy, check out the announcement trailer below!
The game is scheduled to be released in 2015 for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Mac.
