User of Skype and Android Wear rejoice! The day has come where the two can become one as the Skype app for Android has been updated to version 6.4 and allows you to start or continue conversations with your Android Wear device. If you have one of these Wear devices, either the Asus Zenwatch, Huawei Watch, the LG Watch Urbane, or the Moto 360, you’re one of the lucky ones.
The update allows you to read and respond to messages, as already mentioned above, and you can also start conversations from your Android Wear device. You can answer or decline phone calls like you would if you’re not using Skype. If you do answer it, just pick up your phone and start speaking to the person who called you. Need to hang up on that person because they angered you? A hang up option will show on the watch. Mute and pause are also options when on the phone. There are pre-loaded responses already created for you just in case you’re busy getting to the bank before it closes or too lazy to speak on your own. Trust me, I know how that feels.
Continuing on with the update, replying with emojis is a thing too. Choose “Draw emoji”, and let your inner artist take a hold. Well, maybe not your true inner artist, but maybe your kindergarten inner artist. Draw a smiley face or a sad face and that emoji will show up.
The Skype app is free in the Google Play Store, so if you don’t have an account already, feel free to sign up and test it out for yourself. I haven’t used Skype in years, so I may just have to download the app and try it for myself.
If you’re a Skype user and have one of the supported Android Wear devices, would you use this feature? Let us know by leaving your comments down below, or on Google +, Facebook, or Twitter.
