Motorola was the darling of the Android community when Google bought the company out and Android fans thought they finally had their permanent Nexus hardware maker. But Google crushed the dreams of those who were flying on cloud nine when they sold Motorola to mega PC maker, Lenovo. While some fans were willing to give Lenovo a chance, others wrote them off quickly. But Lenovo didn’t do too bad at the start even getting a few hits under their belt.
Now Lenovo owned Motorola is preparing their next gen Motorola phones for the market and the next gen Moto G just might come in two different sizes. Much like Apple’s iPhone, Motorola will offer a regular and plus size version of the next gen Moto G. At least according to the leaks and image leaks from @evleaks. The plus size version of the next gen Moto G is said to have a home button at the bottom where the smaller version does not. The details were leaked from an FCC filing for the devices and the smaller next gen Moto G image was leaked by Evan Blass.

The larger next Moto G is most certainly gunning for the phablet market and likely the midrange phablet market at that. Since before Apple decided that bigger was better, users have been increasing their smartphone screen sizes and that trend continues. Despite Apple’s release of the iPhone SE. It will be interesting to see if the next gen Moto G does indeed come in with two sizes and interesting to see what Motorola does this year. Many have damned Motorola to hell as they have not been happy with how Lenovo has handled the company and its offerings.
